Sales:

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (DC Metro/Baltimore Area)

Responsibilities:

  • Expand and service assigned end user account bases, market new products and gain design win opportunities, while balancing the interests of the customer and the organization. Establish long-term business relationships with both customers and suppliers.
  • Networks, researches, and investigates new opportunities and sales leads in an effort to close new business.
  • Cold calls daily to generate new accounts and goes on at least six sales calls weekly to generate new business with assigned key accounts.
  • Keeps abreast of changes/updates in product lines and trends within the market place through training, certification and other sources.
  • Consults with Application Engineers and Hardware support engineers for internal and external technical support as required.
  • Single point of contact responsible for creating customers quotes, acquiring purchase orders, confirming delivery dates and expediting orders.
  • Follows up with sales orders and assists with resolving discrepancies.

Requirements and Qualifications

Preference for candidate to reside in the DC Metro or Baltimore region.

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent preferred.
  • Four to six year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Three or more years of successful enterprise IT sales experience.
  • Strong knowledge of "Data Center" technologies and solutions - Storage, servers, virtualization, software, backup, and Disaster Recovery.
  • Proven success with solution selling.
  • Experience selling Hewlett Packard, Varinsic, Sun, IBM, EMC, Network Appliance, Hitachi Data Systems, Cisco and related technologies.
  • Sales certifications a plus.
  • Strong customer and vendor relationships.
  • Valid State Drivers License.
  • Ability to acquire security clearances.
  • Ability to work in the United States.
  • Drug Testing.

Engineering:

ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, presales, and post sales of Varinsic hardware, software, and professional services solutions.
  • Responsible for understanding all technical aspects of product sets sold.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of "Data Center" technologies and solutions - Storage, servers, virtualization, networking, security, software, backup, and Disaster Recovery solutions.
  • Experience designing, integrating, and implementing solutions with Hewlett Packard, Varinsic, Sun, EMC, Network Appliance, Hitachi Data Systems, Cisco, Juniper, and related technologies.
  • Engineering Certifications a plus.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Preference for candidate to reside in the DC Metro or Baltimore region.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Valid State Drivers License.
  • Ability to acquire security clearances.
  • Ability to work in the United States.
  • Drug Testing.
